This Blog is All About Men in Kilts!

The Great Kilt

Have you ever wondered about the origins of the kilt? Especially how the tartan was folded and worn? I think the demo takes place in the great hall of the Royal Palace, Edinburgh Castle. If you have the time, this is entertaining and informative.

Formal Kilt w/Bow Tie

The kilt ensemble most often seen at weddings or other formal affairs.

Modern Prince Charlie Style Kilt

Another popular look for weddings and formal receptions. Needless to say there are a number of accessories that accompany the wearing of a kilt. The sporran, hose and flash, neckties and sashes, Ghillie Brogues, Spats, and of course the Sgian Dubhs (dagger) which is slipped under the hose cuff.

Drummer Kilt

Piper's or Drummer's Doublet Jacket. Check out those epaulettes!

 Modern Informal Kilt

An updated look featuring an open shirt with lace trim.

Street Kilt

This is the everyday kilt look you see on the streets in Edinburgh.

Modern Leather Kilt

No accessorizing required with torso above.

The Military Kilt

No matter what kind of kilt, underwear is optional, if not discouraged!
