HEY SPRING! I'M READY!

Ok, so it's kind of funny...
not really.

I don't know about you, but this winter has seemed harsh.

Do you get that sense?

Snow. Ice. High winds. Bitter cold.

You'd think living in the Midwest would make you used to it.

Insert whiny voice** "Noooo!"

Give me spring!! Sweet blossoms budding on trees. Warn days going barefoot outside. Taking a snooze on the deck. Feeling the warm breeze on your face. Yes!

The other day I bought bubbles to show my grandson. (never mind that he'd probably try to eat them at his age) I wanted to share with him the joy of watching the rainbow spheres bobble merrily in the warm sunshine.
That "warmth" last exactly one day. Then plunged back to below freezing the next day.

*Sigh.  I know that come summer, I'll be thinking how ready I am for fall--but for now, give me hope that spring--despite the shivering, confused robins outside--is truly on its way!

Now I'm on deadline with a book (Norah-A St Patrick's day Bride-from the new Brides of Noelle series) **not-so-thinly veiled plug* here's the gorgeous cover...

And oh, what the heck--a blurb...

Not proud of his seedy entanglements back East, Irish Immigrant Seamus  (pronounced Shamus) Malone is determined to create a new and better life in the western frontier, but despite attempts to reach the woman that captured his heart, his letters for the last four years have gone unanswered. Will a plea for help from Noelle’s new matchmaker convince his estranged wife to join him in this new world, proving his love, and that he is a changed man?

Passion (and a controlling aunt) drove Norah into marriage, but when she finds her new husband dabbling in drink and dangerous liaisons, she bid him farewell, relenting to his pipe dreams of a better life, while she remained behind living in the shame of a broken marriage. But when a dark truth is discovered she must now decide if the love she once felt is enough to survive a second chance in the New West?

But I digress....let's get back to spring! (although I believe this weekend we "spring" ahead!!) Isn't that evidence that spring is indeed truly just around the corner??

  4. Spring my fav month the bunnies are starting to come out, the stray cats are coming to the house for our homemade cat food, the deer are running as they know we are 20 acres of no hunting, all of the birds including the humming birds and the oriole feeders go out as they come around the trees start to bud, the cows are mowing from the farm miles away as they are happy the mud is drying up, the propane guy comes to fill our tank. my husband is back to his regular work. I get more letters in the mail from penpals as they have come out of their caves as the pain has lessened as the disease that we all have has lightened up a pinch, church starts to fill up again as the snowbirds are back from Fl and AZ, people can start going to the outdoor farmers market and the flowers including my rose bushes are starting to get new buds in honor of my wonderful grandma!People are taking their reading outside and sitting in the sun to read so more books are sold and the authors are happy as they can sit in the shade or in a boat and write. Plus you hear some of the boats down at the marina that start their engines to have a good boating season. peggy clayton ptclayton2@aol.com

  7. Wow how neat. I have never ate it been in a Cracker Barrel but I’ve heard awesome things about it. My ritual is to spring clean my house, even curtains and basebosrds.. wash all walls down. I want a total clean. Now if I can just talk Rob into helping me.. I’d be set. Plus I love the cleanup outside to get ready to garden. Thanks EE for the awesome opportunity to win. Love & hugs. 🌷💜😎⭐️😎💜🌷

  8. My favorite part of spring is flowers! Whether it be bluebonnets and indian paintbrush or any other variety I'm always ready for color! Green grass because it doesn't stay green long enough! I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in a long time! It sure would be a lot of fun!!
