Heartwarming Anna J. Stewart

HOLIDAY KISSES
Butterfly Harbor Stories

His family’s honor is at stake…
And she holds the key

Calliope Jones, Butterfly Harbor’s free-spirited organic farmer, is the most vocal objector to Xander Costas and his design for the butterfly sanctuary that he hopes will save his family’s architectural firm. Strangely, it’s Calliope who shows him what the town, and he, really need. Calliope makes Xander listen with his heart. And soon his heart may be telling him to stay with this extraordinary woman!

A geek at heart, USA Today and national bestselling author Anna J Stewart writes sweet to spicy romance across the genre. Anna lives in Northern California where she deals with a serious SUPERNATURAL, STAR TREK, and Jason Momoa addiction. When she's not writing, you can usually find her at fan conventions, at her local movie theater, or building up her content editing services for writers.

THE Q&A
ANGI: How often to you get lost in a story?
ANNA: I always seem to be lost in one story or another. I don’t get to read for pleasure as often as I like, so I’ve mostly been lost in Butterfly Harbor, Sacramento, California (where my romantic suspense books are set), or in the Forgotten Realm of my paranormal series. That’s where I am as I’m writing this, LOL.

ANGI: What’s your favorite thing about your book’s hero?
ANNA: Xander Costas is one of those heroes that I had trouble figuring out, but in the end, I think his devotion to his family (his parents and siblings) that really hit my heart. There’s nothing he won’t do for them, even if it’s not in his own best interest.

ANGI: What’s your favorite movie of all time?
ANNA: Oh, wow. Of ALL time? I’d have to go with The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn and Olivia DeHaviland. It’s got everything, action, romance, adventure, and a heroine who is spunky and can take care of herself. I’ve got about a dozen runners up tho, LOL.
ANGI: OH MY GOSH !!  I don’t think anyone has chosen my childhood movie favorite. I own all versions of this film (Video, DVD, Blu-ray, Digital) and watch it all the time.

ANGI: What’s your perfect day?
ANNA: I had one not too long ago. A nice, cozy, almost lazy Sunday curled up in the living room easy chair with my blanket, my cats, and my kindle, reading something I haven’t written. Getting lost in someone else’s world, getting out of my own head, with a cup of hot chocolate nearby? Yeah, doesn’t get any better than that. Unless it’s a day out with my best friend going to the movies and just goofing off.

ANGI: Salad or soup?
ANNA: Hmmm. Depends on the season. I usually order salad, but if clam chowder is on the menu? That would be the exception.

ANGI: Would you put yourself in a Fairy Tale or Action Adventure?
ANNA: Action for sure.

ANGI: Favorite movie you watch every time you channel surf?
ANNA: The aforementioned Adventures of Robin Hood. Ocean’s 11, Victor/Victoria, and, if I hit it at the right time, the last 45 minutes of the Shawshank Redemption. A gut punch, every time but it’s sooooo good.

ANGI: Favorite date night…fancy or at home?
ANNA: I’d go with fancy. I spend too much time at home.

ANGI: Champagne or Soda?
ANNA: As I recently gave up sugar, champagne.

ANGI: Geek or Jock?
ANNA: Geek. They’d get me.

ANGI: The most favorite thing you’ve ever done… Care to share?
ANNA: Gone on vacation with my best friend is top of the list. We’ve done a tour of England, Hawaii, and have hit Disneyland I don’t know how many times. Runner up? Going to a yearly writing convention with my writer friends. I love reconnecting with my tribe.

ANGI’s GOTTA ASK:  SHOW ME YOUR FAVORITE SHOES…

ANNA’S GOTTA ANSWER:  This was an easy answer. My Wonder Woman Crocks. I’m a WW freak from way back and when I saw these online…no question about getting them. I can just about hear the TV theme in my head whenever I wear them. Oh, wait. No. That’s just my ring tone. 😊

UP NEXT for ANNA:
My next main releases (other than 2 novellas coming out in Heart’s Kiss Magazine) both come out in September. I’m actually really excited that I have both a Harlequin Heartwarming AND a Harlequin Romantic suspense out at the same time. Both sides of my personality in one month.

ANNA WANTS TO KNOW:  Part of what Xander learns from Calliope is to stop and listen to the world around him. If you had the chance to go anywhere and reconnect with nature, just leave everything behind for a few hours, where would it be? Me? It would have to be the beach. There’s something about the sound of the tide and the waves that brings me instant peace.
