New Release from Roni Denholtz

Please join me in welcoming NJRW Golden Leaf Award Winning Author Roni Denholtz

C.H.: What is your favorite romance read?
Roni: I love to read all kinds of romance!  I read more contemporaries but do read a lot of historicals too.
C.H.: Would you rather watch a Romantic Comedy or Romantic Drama?
Roni: I'd rather watch a romantic comedy.

C.H.: Do you have a favorite reading spot?
Roni: My favorite reading spot is a big old comfy chair in our livingroom.  All my previous dogs would lay at my feet while I read.  However, the dog we rescued two years ago, Rawhide, has commandeered that chair and often he naps in it so I end up reading in the chair facing that one, or on the couch!

C.H.: Do you curl up with a book and a cup of tea or coffee?
Roni: I always liked a cup of coffee better than tea.  However, I have cut down on caffeine so in winter I like to have a cup of cocoa.

C.H.: Do you prefer reading an e-book or holding a book in your hands?
Roni: I vastly prefer a print book!  There's nothing like holding a book in your hand!  I do have a Kindle because some of the books (especially novellas) I read are only available as e-books, and I don't want to miss them!

C.H.: What is the title of the first book you published?
Roni: My first book was "Lights of Love", a Hanukkah romance.

C.H.: Do you remember where you were when you got the call?
Roni: I do remember!  I was in the family room listening to messages on my answering machine after doing a grocery shopping.  The editor of Avalon books had called and asked me to call back.  My heart was racing when I called her back and got the news they were buying my book!

C.H.: Do you have a favorite series that you have written?
Roni: I haven't published any series yet (though I'm working on one now).

C.H. Any favorite character or characters that still wake you up at night?
Roni: I love all my characters, especially in the story I'm working on presently!

C.H.: Do you prefer to plot out your stories or do you just wing it?
Roni: I used to plot carefully since if I didn't, I learned (when I wrote short stories) I would get stuck.  Then, I gradually began winging it more.  Then, I went back  to plotting more.  So, I'd say it depends on the particular book.  I try to do some plotting now, then wing it; about halfway through I usually go back and plot some more. :)

Here's the blurb for Enchanted Vermont Nights:

Brianna Dodd, a school librarian, wants to escape Thanksgiving with her family and the painful memories of her ex-boyfriend's betrayal.  After doing research on line, she comes to Deerbourne Inn for peace and serenity, and meets Kyle Morgan.

Kyle is trying to avoid the paparazzi who are hounding him since he became rich and famous for a medical invention.  He’s familiar with the Willow Springs area, since his aunt and uncle lived there for many years and he has happy memories of spending time in the tranquil area.   Someday, he hopes to meet a woman who will care for him for himself, and not for his fame and fortune.

When they meet at the Inn, sparks ignite between Brianna and Kyle.  But what happens when they discover each other's secrets?  Can they continue to share enchanted Vermont nights?

Read a teaser excerpt:

He placed his hands on her shoulders. As light snowflakes meandered down, he pulled her back to rest against his chest. She could feel the caress of his breath as he spoke.

“It feels magical with you here, Brianna.”

She felt her insides melting despite the frosty air. As if being with Kyle was pure magic.

She leaned against him, and his arms surrounded her, pulling her in tighter. They gazed out at the peaceful, beautiful scene, and she felt something warm inside of her. Sexual attraction? Or—hope?

He turned her in his arms. “It’s magical being here with you,” he whispered, his voice dropping to a husky timber that set her insides vibrating.

And then his lips came down on hers.
