2019 ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO 

The Balloon Fiesta annually held in October. Tim and I took my mom on an 8-day trip through West Texas, New Mexico & Arizona. Ending with one of her bucket-list items (and ours) of visiting the Balloon Fiesta. We're so glad we did since it was canceled in 2020 and who knows what the future will bring for large events.  

It was amazing. I've said it before --pretty much anytime I talk about it-- that the experience is sort of beyond words. Everywhere you turn there's a balloon. Up. Down. To your side. Almost below you but a whistle blows and they keep you from stepping on it. You can literally push through them. No kidding. It's amazing.

You never know when you'll need a picture of candy. 

Pinkitzel in Oklahoma City was gorgeous. 

I couldn't BUY all the candy so I took pictures. Maybe I went overboard, but it was fun. 

Once I discovered the cupcakes here, I stopped every time I drove through Oklahoma. I even met friends here for my birthday one year.  

My favorite candy from Santa. I never knew how he found it when I was a kid because I NEVER saw it in a store.
