Bob the Book Gets Rescued!

Hi GLIAS friends and fans,
It's Liz here with a drive-by post about my latest book--the Novel Formerly Known as Bob! This novel's journey to publication has been a source of amusement and hair-pulling in my family and writing circle for quite a while now. It's had multiple iterations, multiple character name changes and multiple working titles. But, I'm very pleased that I can finally announce the process is finished. The book I've been calling "Bob" is officially titled:
                      "Rescued By a Stranger"
I'm super-pleased with that. One reason is that the title describes perfectly what happens to both my hero and heroine in the book. The story is about rescue--but not just from something bad (although the hero has experienced something quite awful). Sometimes we need to be rescued from ourselves.

Check out the back cover blurb:

She’s a woman full of dreams
When a stranger arrives in town on a vintage motorcycle, Jill Carpenter has no idea her life is about to change forever. She never expected her own personal knight in shining armor would be an incredibly charming and handsome southern man—but one with a deep secret.

He’s a man hoping to outrun a tragedy
When Chase Preston jumped on his motorcycle to escape his wounded life, he didn't expect the perfect woman to fall into his arms... literally! But though he can't deny his feelings for the sweet and beautiful Jill, he doesn't see any way he and his mistake-filled past will fit into her bright future.

Falling in love may require more than either can give
The longer Chase stays in Kennison Falls, the more deeply Jill and the people of her home town pull him in. The more Jill discovers heroic qualities in Chase, the more she wants to find a home in his arms—if only he would trust her with the truth. But will truth tear them apart when Jill’s dreams start coming true and Chase’s past finally returns to haunt him? Or, can they get beyond dreams to find the love that will rescue their two hearts?

Hope that sounds intriguing! I'm excited about this book--it's been a very long time coming. Want to know a secret? This was, actually, my very first full-length manuscript. I originally started this back in the '80's, and it was a part-time project for sure, something I worked on when my then-little kids napped. I didn't finish it until 2005. Even then, it was in quite a different form and was titled "Angelwings" and my hero Chase was named Chad. He wasn't nearly as strong as he is now. And neither was my spunky heroine--an Olympic hopeful equestrienne and a vet student rolled into one pretty woman.

I'm glad to say, the revamping that's turned "Angelwings" into "Rescued By A Stranger" has been very successful. "Rescued" will be released on September 10th!

It is available for pre-order now. You have to trust me that the cover will be a good one--since the image isn't yet shown online.  Hint: it features a really really handsome guy and a shiny red motorcycle!

Here are links to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I invite you to check them out. And then be sure to keep checking my Website and back here at GLIAS in September when I'll have lots more fun info about "Rescued By A Stranger" along with some fun excerpts and giveaways!

And, there's also my first book "The Rancher and the Rock Star."  This is the one that starts this series--set in my fictional Minnesota small town, Kennison Falls.
