MATCHED TO HER RIVAL
Harlequin
Desire
September
She was supposed to
match him with someone else…
Elise
Arundel won't let anyone compromise her high-profile matchmaking
business—certainly not Dax Wakefield, the doubting tycoon determined to prove
she's a sham. She'll find the sexy bachelor a perfect mate. But when her
foolproof program matches him with her, what's a woman to do but give in to
unbridled passion?
Dax
can't believe how the former-duckling-turned-swan is making him question his
playboy status…and his vow to bring down her company. Could sultry Elise—his
enemy!—be the one to change his life from one night only to happily ever after?
MATCHED TO A PRINCE
Harlequin
Desire
August
How could she be his
perfect match?
Prince
Alain "Finn" Phineas pledged his love to Juliet Villere once—and she
betrayed him. Despite the desire he still feels, Finn would never act on those
feelings again. Not even when Juliet is chosen for him by an elite matchmaker.
Then fate, in the form of the royal family, intervenes.
Trapped
alone on a beautiful island, they are held "captive" until Finn can
convince Juliet to marry him and end a political nightmare. His motives should
be about serving his country. So why does his heart yearn for a second chance
with Juliet…a real chance this time?

Wanted: one convenient
wife
Venture
capitalist Leo Reynolds is married to his work, but now he needs a wife.
Someone to run his home, host his parties—and accept a marriage that's strictly
business. His one rule: love will play no part in their union. At least that's
the lie he tells himself, until he meets his match….
Enter
Daniella White—handpicked by the matchmaker as the perfect wife. Marriage to
Leo means security, and she's willing to give up passion for friendship. But
the moment they meet, sparks fly. And now temptation—and Leo's own heart—have
the billionaire ready to change all the rules.

THE MATCHMAKER LOWDOWN
ANGI: What's your favorite thing
about
MATCHED TO HER RIVAL? KAT: The chocolate chips. No hints—you’ll have to read the
scene for yourselves…and I promise you it’s worth it! :P
MATCHED TO A PRINCE? KAT:
It’s set on a fictional island in
the Mediterranean and I had a blast making it all up.
MATCHED TO A BILLIONAIRE? KAT: Daniella
compares herself to Scarlett O’Hara a lot. I loved coming up with her internal
monologue for that.
ANGI: Happily Ever After is a
match matching company, so what's the one special thing that would have
matched…
Elise & Dax have in MATCHED TO HER RIVAL? KAT: They’re
both too smart for their own good. :O) They have to put down their psychology
degrees and find each other’s hearts.
Juliet & Finn have in MATCHED TO A PRINCE? KAT: They both value honor and integrity above everything else
but learn that compromise is the only way to live happily ever after.
Daniella & Leo have in MATCHED TO A BILLIONAIRE? KAT: They’re both looking for security in an arranged marriage
but learn that love is the best security.
ANGI: What was your favorite thing you did this summer?
KAT: I participated in an anthology with some other authors
and it was a truly memorable experience! I learned a lot and I was the one who
researched the charity we ended up selecting—all the proceeds for the Love Is…
Anthology go to Reach Out and Read, an organization that partners with
pediatricians to put books into parents’ hands so reading can be a family
experience. It’s .99 cents, 100% of the proceeds go to charity and it includes
40 short stories in 3 genres. That’s easy math, ya’ll!
ANGI’S GOTTA ASK: The kids are about to be back in school… Is there one thing you wanted
to do this summer that you couldn't?
KAT'S GOTTA ANSWER:
I really wanted to go to France to
see a stage of the Tour De France. But it’s just too far to go with small kids,
so I had to watch it on TV…again. But since this year was the 101 time they’ve
done it, I’m pretty sure they’ll be another one next year!
KAT
CANTRELL read her
first Harlequin novel in third grade and has been scribbling in notebooks since
she learned to spell. What else would she write but romance? She majored in
Literature, officially with the intent to teach, but somehow ended up buried in
middle management at Corporate America, Inc.
Kat
became a stay-at-home mom in 2009 and devoted nap time to writing. After three
years and many thousands of words, her dream of publication finally came true.
When she’s not writing about characters on the journey to happily ever after,
she can be found at a soccer game, watching Friends or dancing with her kids to
Duran Duran and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Kat,
her husband and their two boys live in North Texas. She’s a proud member of
Romance Writers of America®. Kat was the 2011 Harlequin So You Think You Can
Write winner and a 2012 RWA® Golden Heart® finalist for best unpublished series
contemporary manuscript.

KAT WANTS TO KNOW: What’s the number one
quality (and you only get ONE!) you’d tell a matchmaker your perfect match HAD
to have?
They look great Kat! Love the matchmaking idea :-) If I had to pick one quality it would be patience :-)
ReplyDeleteGah, if patience is a virtue matchmakers asked about, I'd be sent away! LOL thanks for commeting!
DeleteSounds like a fun series! :)
ReplyDeleteI would pick loyalty but that's a tough choice. I also care about intelligence and kindness....
Hi May! Loyalty is a good one--if you don't have that, a lot of other stuff is kind of not so important, right? Thanks for commenting!
DeleteMorning Kat. Thanks for taking time from the busy trip to spend time on the blog today! Best of luck with the series. You know I'm a fan!
ReplyDelete~Angi
Thanks for having me Angi! Sorry I've been MIA today--ill-timed day job shenanigans. But I'm thrilled to give away some books ya'll!
Deletesense of humor
ReplyDeletebn100candg at hotmail dot com
Good one! My husband can make me laugh like no one else, and I value that about him. :) Thanks for the comment.
DeleteHi, Kat! So lovely to have you on GLIAS. I loved reading your excerpt. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHey Vicki! Gosh, it's been forever since I've seen you. Hope you are well and thanks for the lovely comment. :)
DeleteIf I could choose but a single quality, I'd pick integrity. (I've said that if I find someone who stands when I leave or arrive at the dining table in a social setting *and* likes Heinz ketchup on his meatloaf, I will pledge my heart to him. That really means (a) he holds me in high regard and (b) we dig a lot of the same stuff. But integrity overarches all of that.)
ReplyDeleteOops .... email address is kateivan {at} aol {dot} com
DeleteLOL Katherine--you have a great list. :) But yeah, integrity says a lot about how your match might deal with a lot of different situations and that's so important. Thanks for the comment!
DeleteFaithfulness -
