There’s trouble in Somewhere and someone in town alerted the Texas Rangers. Big bad Ranger Hart Winston is tasked with ferreting out the truth and staying out of trouble. But trouble seems to follow him wherever he goes, this time in the body of sweet innkeeper Sherri London. While he works on his case, he watches her and feels the tug of desire. But she’s the former clerk in the office he’s investigating, making her forbidden fruit. And making her even more adorable.
Sherri sees a big man in her B&B and immediately sees trouble. Man trouble, and she doesn’t know how to handle it. Male-Female relationships aren’t her forte, not to mention the trouble she had with her last pseudo boyfriend. But Hart makes her smile and seems an awful like the heroes on tv, even vanquishing her demons.
Turns out he’s not the man she fell in love with. He’s an undercover cop masquerading as a cowboy. She understands the demands of his job, but if he lies so easily, how will she know if he’s lying to her?
A bit about Lavender:
Lavender lives in Texas with her own private Prince Charming, two kids, two cats and a large brown rug, uh, dog. She spends her days writing sexy contemporary romance, sometimes adding a hint of suspense or tossing in a little dominance and submission. A member of RWA, she took first place in the Great Expectations Contest in 2011 for Bound by Trust. When she’s not writing or reading great romance novels, she can be found in the kitchen baking, usually with chocolate.
Undercover Heat is part of the Texas Straight Up boxed set. What's it like sharing characters and storylines with the other authors writing for Somewhere, Texas?
Lavender: Wild, crazy, and a hoot and a half! We have a lot of fun with the planning of each set . As we move forward, the complications multiply. Somewhere, TX is growing exponentially and we’ve created lists and charts to keep things straight. (I say ‘we’ but a lot of the organization comes from Krystal and RL Syme.)
Just a Quick ending question: What's your favorite movie and why?
Lavender: Anything with a good love story and of course, a hunky hero! My favorite would have to be The Wedding Date. It’s such a good romance!
So good to have you with us Lavender. Sounds like a great story.
ReplyDeleteI love the name Somewhere, Texas, Lavender; and I adore a lovely B&B! Sounds like a winner!

Hmmm.... it seems that I should visit Somewhere. I've never "vacationed" there, but it looks mighty inviting!
