Under the Spell of Harvest Moon

Some wolves were never meant for a mate...

Dr. Jason Ayers unleashes all of his rage and his frustration through fists and brute force in an underground boxing ring. The werewolf may be the pack's doctor, but he can't even heal his coma-stricken father after the Nero Organization's attack stopped his heart. And as his Pack brothers settle down around him, he still refuses to believe in the fairy tale notion that every wolf has a true mate...

In hiding and on the run, nurse Kilani Akamu is a loose end that Nero is desperate to tie up. She can't afford to be attracted to a doctor-especially one as unexpectedly hot and complex as Jason. Yet the sexual sparks arcing between them are undeniable...and Kilani's precognitive senses warn her that temptation is inevitable.

All it takes is one touch to send Jason's wolf howling. But even if he could protect her from Nero, he can't protect her from himself...

Jillian: What’s your favorite cartoon character?
Lisa: Definitely the Evil Queen from Disney’s Snow White. I have a scary collection of Evilness… Muahahaha!

Jillian: What’s your favorite movie of all time?
Lisa: It’s hard to pick! Probably ROCKY… Although Camelot is close and I also love Moulin Rouge… And for funny you can’t beat Mel Brooks History of the World Part 1…

Jillian: Be honest, when reading 1st person...do you miss the hero’s POV?
Lisa: Ha! Yes, so when I wrote the Moon Series in first person, I alternate each chapter between the hero and the heroine.

Jillian: Do you write while listening to music? If so what kind?
Lisa: I do write to music. I find the music inspiring and really helps me keep the tone of the book. Before I start a new book I always have a playlist built and ready. My HARVEST MOON playlist has 57 songs on it. It’s pretty eclectic with movie soundtracks, songs about wolves, etc. but a few of the biggies were:
I Could Fall - Evan and Jaron
Wild Horses – Natasha Bedingfield
That’s Beautiful to Me – Jaron & The Long Road
The Boxer – Simon & Garfunkel
I’m Not that Girl – Idina Menzel
Jillian: Just for fun, I added some awesome wolf howls to your playlist!

Jillian: What’s the first thing you do when you finish writing a book?
Lisa: My hubby and I go out and he buys me a fruity drink. I’m a super cheap drunk and I don’t like to taste the alcohol so…. Yum!

Jillian: Do you read reviews of your books? If so, do you pay any attention to them, or let them influence your writing?
Lisa: Yes I do. They don’t influence my writing, but I do like to see which characters they love and who they want to hear about in the future… I try to let the less than stellar reviews roll off my back. You can’t please everyone. But some days it’s tougher than others! LOL

Lisa’s question for commenters: What entices you to try a new-to-you author? Lisa is giving away 2 eBook copies of MOONLIGHT, Book 1 in the Moon Series, WOOT! or should I say WOOF? Not sure how to write a howl…

  8. Book blogs and ebooks have meant I now try new authors a lot more then when it was just buying books from a store. I follow a number of book blogs, and read their reviews and the latest releases with blurbs and an excerpt. Also social media allows me to follow authors I already like , and they often introduce you to new authors. Another huge thing with ebooks is the samples. I often read a sample of a new author before I buy the book, to see if I like how they write. That's how I bought Blood Moon and met the pack! :)
