The
Warrior's Redemption
Clay Cosen wants nothing more than to put his dark past behind him, but his work impounding free-roaming cattle is creating new enemies. Rancher Isabel Nosie has her own reasons to mistrust him. She loved him once, and she's never forgiven him for her fiancé's death—a death she thinks Clay could have prevented. When someone starts killing her cattle, though, she has no choice but to turn to the best tracker on the reservation.
Soon, Izzie herself is in danger, and Clay's attempts to protect her and clear her name make him a target—and a suspect. Clay risks losing everything: the respect of his family and his tribe, and the woman he's never stopped loving.

Apache Protectors #2
"Why are you here, Cosin?" she
asked, refusing herself the intimacy of his first name.
He pointed to a truck parked along her
fence line. "Collecting
strays."
Clay worked for Dale Donner, the General
Livestock Coordinator. One of their jobs
was collecting strays from all reservation highways, which included this
out-of-the-way road snaking along her grazing land. But she kept her fences in good repair mostly
because she could not afford to lose any cattle. But he was here, working. Her mouth went dry.
"Strays?" she repeated.
Her cattle were the only ones up here and
she was missing more than a few. Izzie had a sick feeling in her stomach.
"You catch any?"
His expression was serious. "Some."
"How many?"
"Izzie, someone just shot at you. I'd feel a whole lot better if we had this
conversation out of range and behind cover.
I've got room in my trailer for Biscuit."
He remembered the name of her favorite
horse. What else did he remember? Their first kiss? The night she let him go a little too far? Or the day she told him she could not see him
anymore?
They rode through her downed fence, the
wire lying on the ground. She didn't see
any cattle on the road but she swung down to lift the wire.
"It's cut," she said.

JENNA: I read every day unless
I'm on a tight deadline. Lately I've
been reading one to two chapters a day.
I love audio books and listen to them as well.
ANGI: Hugh Jackman or Chris
Pine?
JENNA: We'll
I had to look up Chris Pine, so definitely Hugh Jackman. I do think Pine is perfectly cast for the new
version of Star Trek.
ANGI: Can you tell us about a
real-life hero you’ve met?
JENNA: My
first year out of college was really rough.
I was going to school part-time, working nights in a diner and was
beyond broke. I never told anyone. But I must have dropped a hint somewhere
because my older brother sent me a check for $50 (a fortune at the time) with a
note that read: Here's the money I owe
you. It was a godsend. Just exactly when I needed a little help, it
arrived. I bought food. I paid the phone bill and things got better
from there. Years later I asked him
about it and asked when I had lent him $50?
He smiled and then chuckled and I realized I never did lend him any
money. That's a hero in my book.
ANGI: Would you rather be in a Fairy Tale or Action Adventure?
JENNA: Action Adventure, it's safer.
ANGI: What’s your favorite rerun on television?
JENNA: Seinfeld
ANGI: What's your most favorite
thing to do in your state?
JENNA: NYC
is a favorite with so much to see and do.
I am also proud to have been born in the Catskills, the oldest mountains
in the country, though not the tallest.
We also have a great combination of attractions from Niagara Falls to
Ellis Island. We have mountains, rivers,
beaches, the Finger Lakes, Winter Olympics site Lake Placid and near me, the
beautiful Hudson Valley.
ANGI: What’s your favorite
meal?
JENNA: King
Crab, French fries and a Corona beer (or two).
ANGI: What do you like about
the hero of your book?
JENNA: Gabe
Cosen is the chief of tribal police in book #3, TRIBAL LAW, in my APACHE
PROTECTOR series. I admire his ability
to keep everyone safe even at his own expense.
I like his struggle between the need to protect the ones he loves and
his need to enforce the law. His inner
battle was wonderfully entertaining.
ANGI: Sand or Snow?
JENNA: Oh,
sand and sea and sea and sand.
ANGI: What
might we find in your heroine's purse?
JENNA: My
latest heroine, Cassidy Walker (Native Born, June 2016) carries no purse. She's an FBI field agent and carries a
wallet, shield, cuffs and personal weapon, just like her male counterparts.
ANGI: Superman or Batman?
JENNA: I prefer tortured humans
to nearly invulnerable aliens.
ANGI: What’s your favorite
movie of all time?
JENNA: Laurence
Olivia and Merle Oberon in Wuthering Heights, 1939
ANGI: What drinks or snacks are
always on your desk when you’re writing?
JENNA: Is
coffee a snack?
ANGI: Who’s your favorite
villain?
JENNA: The
shark from Jaws.
ANGI: Hiking Boots or Dancing
Heels?
JENNA: Hiking
Boots. Though wearing them does not keep
me from dancing.
ANGI: Are you a Star Wars fan?
Favorite thing about the reboot?
JENNA: Yes. I sure am.
Seeing Harrison Ford again is a thrill.
ANGI’S GOTTA
ASK: What’s
one thing from your bucket list?
JENNA’S
NAME GOTTA ANSWER: Building a tree house
writing studio in a Banyan tree or oak.

Selena's ears were
buzzing. Did that mean she was going to faint? You absolutely are not going to faint.
You can’t.
“Was I doing something
wrong, Chief?” Her attempt to keep her voice level failed and Gabe pushed back
the brim of his hat, giving her a closer look. How did he manage to get more
handsome every single year? she wondered as she stared at his ruggedly attractive
face.
“You’re flushed,” he
said.
“Hot in here. Heater is
wonky.” That lie came so easily.
“I see. What’s up?”
“What do you mean?” she
asked, keeping her sweating hands on the wheel.
“Your route is finished
and you’re heading out. Usually you take the car on errands.”
He had watched her that
closely? She had no idea. Now she didn’t know if she should be flattered,
furious or frightened.
Should she go with
indignation or civility? The indignation won, hands down.
“I don’t think that’s
any business of yours.”
Gabe’s brows shot up as
he stared steadily back at her. His long nose and flared nostrils reminded her
of a wolf on the hunt.
The air of authority did
not come solely from his position. She felt it even now, the need to do
whatever he said merely because he said it. And that mouth, oh, she had
memories of that mouth on her body.

Clay blocked his path.
“Why do you always do this?”
“Do what?”
“Captain says to coordinate with border patrol,
you don’t. They say to go left, you go right. Clyne and Gabe tell you to stay
home, you come here. They’re shorthanded as it is. It was just a rattlesnake
rattle they found. Anyone can get them.”
“But not everyone leaves them inside dead bodies.”
