Without further ado, here's C.J.!

DELTA FORCE DESIRE

From classified secrets to unleashed desires…

Elite hacker Kit Walker expects a safe desk job when the government taps her for a classified project. So when Kit's captured by a cyberterrorist group, she fears for her life and her work. But when gorgeous Griffin Brooks turns up to save her, it's not only her life that's in danger…

Griffin was assigned to Kit's case, but protecting the bashful beauty soon becomes so much more than a job to him. How can he do his duty to guard her when he couldn't keep his late wife safe from a nefarious killer? As a lethal threat closes in on them both, Griffin and Kit will have to untangle the deadly web of lies—and their growing attraction—if they want to stop their enemy in his tracks.

Check out an excerpt!

It was on the tip of his tongue to tell Connor about his attraction to Kit. But Griffin could keep it in check. He wasn’t a slave to his hormones. Too much was at stake for him to give in to his feelings. Instead, he made the point that mattered most. “My wife died because I couldn’t protect her. What makes you think I can keep Kit safe?”

“This situation is nothing like what happened with Beth. No one blames you for Beth’s death except you. What could you have done differently?”

At the mention of his wife’s name, disgust for himself and anger at her killer renewed. “I ask myself that every day.”

“The answer eludes you because there is no answer. You couldn’t have done anything. What happened with Beth was a terrible atrocity, but protecting Kit will be different. You will be at her side around the clock. She is your sole mission.”

Griffin didn’t care for his body’s response to hearing that. As a red-blooded man, he wanted to be close to Kit. As an operative, he wasn't qualified to protect her.

Meet C.J.!

A third generation romance reader and the first in her family to write professionally, C.J. published her first book in 2012. You can follow her on facebook or on her blog.

She lives in Maryland with her family. C.J. believes in first loves, second chances, and happily ever after..

Lara: How often to you get lost in a story?
C.J.: Recently, almost every book I've downloaded at Amazon's recommendation has been a winner.

Lara: Where do you read and how often?
C.J.: I read whenever I have five minutes – waiting in lines, waiting at doctor's offices, or before I go to sleep.

Lara: What’s your favorite kind of story to get lost in?
C.J.: I love romance novels where I am pulling for the hero and heroine, but have no idea how they will resolve the problems they are facing.

Lara: What is your biggest vice?
C.J.: Coffee. I drink far too much coffee. [Lara: You sound like my husband!]

Lara: Is there a “Blooper” in your story (it may have been changed before printing)?
C.J.: I move between revising a book and writing a new one during the same writing session. In one scene, I had written the entire scene with the wrong hero's name. Delete! [Lara: Oh, man--what a bummer!]

Lara: What is your hero’s “kryptonite” – in other words, what will bring him instantly to his knees?
C.J.: Despite his rugged outer shell, Griffin has a heart of gold and a soft spot for women in jeopardy.

Lara: Cast your book using fairy tale and/or cartoon characters.
C.J.: The heroine is like Rapunzel in a self-imposed isolation. The hero rescues her and shows her the world, but the heroine opens his eyes too.

Lara: What drew you to write in the genre(s) you do?
C.J.: I write the types of stories I most enjoy reading.

Lara’s GOTTA ASK:  What inspires you daily?
C.J.’s GOTTA ANSWER:  My family inspires me. Reading other people's writing. Getting away from the computer screen and spending time with family and friends. Biggest inspiration crusher: negativity, either self-doubts about my book or external.

Where can you find C.J.?

What's next for C.J.?
I'm writing another book closely related to Delta Force Desire, but nothing ready to share yet! [Lara: Sounds intriguing!]

Don't miss the first West Company book!

FROM STEAMY JUNGLES TO OPULENT PALACES, IT'S NONSTOP ACTION, DANGER AND PASSION FOR TWO SEXY AGENTS

To find a "dead" agent, intelligence analyst Kate Squire needs the man's brother—retired Sphere operative Connor West. His skills as a trained assassin are essential for her mission…but her immediate, raw attraction for the man himself is not.

For a loner like Connor, trekking into the jungle with a secretive killer blonde at his side is not textbook. Caught between armed insurgents and hungry predators, he fears Kate may be his deadliest threat…until their very agency turns on them. Stranded, outmanned and outgunned, Connor has nowhere else to turn. Trusting the gorgeous spy may be the only way to get them out alive….

Thanks for stopping by today, C.J.!
