Nan: Holy cow that's a lot of chapters you belong to. Thank you for being to active!
Let's talk about TALL, DARK and DAMAGED - Book 1 in your DAMAGED HEROES series. Release date is June 3, 2016.
THE STORY BLURB
His Life Changed in a
Heartbeat

Her Dream Job May Get
Her Killed
While restoring art in a billionaire’s private gallery,
Hannah Moore is unwittingly drawn into the dysfunctional family’s confidences.
When she discovers the rich developer behind her and her sick aunt’s eviction
is the family’s black-sheep son—the lover she’s never gotten over—her desire
turns to fury. Always one to avoid conflict, Hannah must stand up to Devon and
the growing menace of someone who thinks she knows too much.
A Decades-Old Secret
Turns Deadly
When a family member is murdered, Devon and Hannah become
ensnared in sibling greed, festering jealousy, and a tragic secret that’s
divided the family. Amid their reigniting passion they race to expose the
killer before they become the next victims in this cat-and-mouse game of
survival.
Nan: Sounds as thrilling as your first book! And I love the cover.
PRE-ORDER THE BOOK
A LIGHTING ROUND OF Q&A WITH SARAH ANDRE
NAN: How often do you get lost in a story?
SARAH: Too often! If the novel is great I’ll do little else the rest of the
day. No errands, no making dinner, no exercise, and very little attention given
to hubby and dogs. The more riveting the story, the more I’m agitated at being
interrupted and having to put the book down. And a truly exceptional novel
makes me miss the characters for days after I finish reading it.
Nan: Oh boy - an author's dream reader!
NAN: Is there a playlist you’d recommend for reading
your latest release?
SARAH: There will be! I did a playlist for my first novel, Locked, Loaded and Lying and it was crazy-fun putting together. I chose a song not just based on a chapter but on each POV in sequential order in a chapter! It’s up on my website: http://www.sarahandre.com/fun-stuff.html
My plots tend to be based on edgy heroes, so some of the songs are R-rated, but I made sure to note them on the playlist. I am ALL over listening to lyrics and dreaming up mini plots to go with them. (In fact watching music videos ruins the song for me, because I have my own daydream of the singer/band/storyline.)
NAN: What
sound or noise do you love?

Nan: Looks incredible and tranquil!
NAN: Do you read reviews of your books? If so, do you
pay any attention to them, or let them influence your writing?
SARAH: You know, I’ve talked so
many writer-friends off the ledge when they’ve gotten a poor review that I
decided when I got published I wouldn’t read them. Although oddly—I’m obsessed
with the number of reviews I receive.
I guess it’s important to me that people respond to my novel enough to leave a review, not what they say. I’m
confident enough in the finished work I publish that if someone doesn’t like a
character or my voice I completely respect that. No hard feelings.
NAN: What
are the next five books on your ‘to be read’ pile?
SARAH: Well,
I’d say anything by Kristan Higgins but I’m up-to-date and she’s not writing
fast enough! J
Tyed
by L.J. Shen, because a
friend turned me on to her novel: Sparrow, and I went nuts for it! Tyed is the
only other book she has out, which I bought the second I finished Sparrow.
Rush,
by Shae Ross, because I love
the way her heroes act and speak. Very authentic, IMO and when I read her books
I get pings of jealousy. Wish I could capture an alpha hottie like she does.
Pretty
Girls, by Karin Slaughter, because she’s
one of my all-time favs and I haven’t read this one yet. (Saving it as a reward
for when I finish my next story.) Very gritty, realistic police procedurals,
one of the most riveting authors out there today.
After
You by Jojo Moyes, because it’s
the June Book Club choice and I was tapped to lead the discussion. (Which,
according to the members means I have to read Me Before You first.)
Nan: I'm constantly amazed by author names that I haven't heard of. There are so many wonderful writers out there!
NAN'S GOTTA ASK: Is
there a “Blooper” in your story (it may have been changed before printing)?
SARAH'S GOTTA ANSWER: Funny
you should ask- I have never told anyone this: there is a HUGE blooper at the
end of Locked, Loaded and Lying. For years writers have warned me that if I
have an error I’ll get tons of nasty emails. If that’s so, NO ONE has picked up
on this mistake. And I mean, it’s HUGE! It came to me at 3am a few months after
the debut release. I sat up in bed and screamed “OMFG!” J
I’ll
keep waiting. I’m not outing what it is.
Nan: I didn't catch it! It must be because the ending is so exciting!
