Award winning author VIRGINIA VAUGHAN lives by the motto 'It's not hoarding if its books'. Always the kid with her nose stuck in a book, becoming a multi-published author hasn't stopped Virginia from continuing to grow her own collection of favorite reads. Her family has refused to help her move anymore because of the sheer number boxes of books, but she's no quitter. She'll keep buying books and, the next time she moves, hire a moving van.

ANGI: How often to you get lost in a story?
VIRGINIA:  All. The. Time. I am a self-professed bookaholic and I’m not even sorry. I was always that kid with her nose stuck in a book and adulthood hasn’t changed that. Reading has always been my favorite pastime.

ANGI: What’s your favorite movie of all time?
VIRGINIA:  A long time ago in a galaxy far far away….Star Wars was the first movie that ever really transported me to a different time and place and because of that it will always be my favorite, but Terminator really sparked my love for time travel stories so it is definitely a close second.
ANGI: YES !! Two of my favorites. Terminator is such a great love story. "I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you. I always have."

ANGI: What’s your favorite thing about your book’s hero?
VIRGINIA:  My hero, Quinn, has really bucked his family’s tradition of law enforcement and taken his own path to become a covert operative. He feels like no one in his family really understands him. I can relate to those feelings as sometimes, being a writer, I feel like my family looks at me as if I have a third eye, lol.

ANGI: What’s your perfect day?
VIRGINIA:  Curled up in a chair reading and getting so lost in a story that the real world—even the fun stuff—seems like an imposition. I once got so pulled into a story world that I nearly cancelled a trip to the beach with my friends because I didn’t think I was going to finish the book in time. If that doesn’t make me a book lover, I don’t know what was does, lol.

ANGI: Salad or soup?
VIRGINIA: Let’s skip them both and go straight to the pasta, hehe.

ANGI: Favorite TV rerun you watch every time you channel surf?
VIRGINIA: I’m an HGTV junkie and I’ll watch Flea Market Flip every time its on.

ANGI: Favorite date night…fancy or at home?
VIRGINIA:  I’m a homebody. My favorite date night would be ordering in and staying home to watch a movie.

ANGI: Champagne or Soda?
VIRGINIA:  Diet Coke is my drink of choice all day long.

ANGI: Geek or Jock?
VIRGINIA:  I always loved playing softball, but I have to confess I was never the best player. Maybe if I’d put down the books and practiced more that would have changed, but I regret nothing. Definitely a geek girl. 😊
ANGI: I was a catcher. My knees prove it. I coached for 20 years and umpired Girls Fast-Pitch for 15. But...hahaha...I do NOT consider myself a Jock. LO

ANGI’s GOTTA ASK:  Where is your favorite writing place & why?
VIRGINIA’S GOTTA ANSWER:  My favorite place to write is on the balcony of my apartment overlooking the lake. I love the water and the balcony gives me the illusion of being outside without actually having to go. 😊

UP NEXT for VIRGINIA:
I’m currently working on book #3 of my Covert Operatives series. I’m still in the writing phase so no cover or release date yet, but here’s a juicy tidbit—it involves a baby selling ring and a secret husband!

VIRGINIA WANTS TO KNOW: A few years ago, I bought a great overstuffed chair at a yard sale. It was the perfect place to curl up to read which I did often. Unfortunately, when we moved, I had to downsize and give it away. I still miss that chair, especially because I haven’t yet found another as good comfy spot for reading. So my question today is what’s your favorite place to read?

    1. Aren't recliners great? I have a couch with a built-in recliner too. It's comfy but centrally located so people tend to interrupt me when I try to read there.
