Four brides. One Dress.

A tale of faith, redemption, and timeless love.

Charlotte owns a chic Birmingham bridal boutique. Dressing brides for their big day is her gift . . . and her passion. But with her own wedding day approaching, why can’t she find the perfect dress…or feel certain she should marry Tim?
Thomas Nelson, Inc.
Ami McConnell, editor

Then Charlotte discovers a vintage dress in a battered trunk at an estate sale. It looks brand-new—shimmering with pearls and satin, hand-stitched and  timeless in its design. But where did it come from? Who wore it? Who welded the lock shut and tucked the dog tags in that little sachet? Who left it in the basement for a ten-year-old girl? And what about the mysterious man in the purple vest who insists the dress had been “redeemed.”

Charlotte’s search for the gown’s history—and its new bride—begins as a distraction from her sputtering love life. But it takes on a life of its own as she comes to know the women who have worn the dress. Emily from 1912. Mary Grace from 1939. Hillary from 1968. Each with her own story of promise, pain, and destiny. And each with something unique to share. For woven within the threads of the beautiful hundred-year-old gown is the truth about Charlotte’s heritage, the power of courage and faith, and the timeless beauty of finding true love.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE INSPIRATIONAL MOVIE? (doesn't have to be religious)

  1. Welcome ladies !
We're glad you're here to share your stories.

My inspirational movie is SEABISCUIT and since I was on the phone with my husband, his favorite is THE RIGHT STUFF.

  2. Angi, thanks for having us!

First movie I thought of was The Blind Side.

  3. Hmmm... The Bucket List... as odd as it sounds...

  4. Thanks very much, Angi, for featuring the inspirational romance RITA nominees today! I'm so excited to have had a book final in the RITA and am currently trying to figure out what in the world to pack for the conference. Can't wait to get to Atlanta!

FORREST GUMP comes to mind as one of my favorite inspiring movies.

  5. If these 8 books are the nominees in Inspirational Romance category, I'd hate to have to be one of the ones choosing the finalists -- OR the winner. Every one of these sounds delightful! I'm sorry to say I haven't read any of them yet, altho I have read others by some of these authors. I do intend to find and read these.

My favorite inspirational movie? Well, It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart is an all-time favorite. But a more recent on would be The Vow with Channing Tatum.

  6. Angi, Thank you for featuring the Inspirational Romance finalists! It's such an honor to be in this group of very fine writers, and it's so kind of you to "show us off."

Favorite inspirational movie? REMEMBER THE TITANS. Love this movie--and I don't know the first thing about football. :)

  7. Congrats to all of the nominees! My favourite inspirational movies are Lean On Me, Sister Act, The Blind Side... Actually I'll stop there or I could go on all night since I haven't seen an inspirational movie that I love. I call them my 'feel good' movies, especially when the 'nobodies' succeed past everyone's expectations.

  8. Congrats to all the nominees! I don't watch a lot of movies - barely one a year & usually the latest Disney carton so I don't have a fav. Give me a book anytime.

  9. My favorite would have to be SPENCER'S MOUNTAIN. That's going back some years.

  10. Mary Preston, I don't think I know that movie. I'll check it out!

  11. Oh, I love this glimpse at all these beautiful books! Missy, Spencer's Mountain is the original name for "Walton's Mountain". The story was written by Earl Hamner Jr. (Yes, I'm a Walton's Mountain kind of geek who also loves Sci fi and fantasy!!!) and his original story was Spencer's Mountain....

I love a beautiful story of overcoming hard times.

My fave inspy movies are Saint Maybe and Remember the Titans.

    Love them both.

  12. A couple that come to mind are Groundhog Day and Scrooged....both about people trying to get it right in their life and full of humor at the same time.
Thanks for showing us all the finalist.

  13. As a child, we saw The Nun's Story. Had an amazing effect on a bunch of Presbyterian kids!!

  14. My favorite inspiration movie is RUDY, a young man goes to Notre Dame and aspires to be on the university's football team even though he's short and nonathletic. I love this story of attaining your dream with perseverance, dedication, humor and determination!

  15. Thank you to all who've entered the giveaway. And congratulations to Elizabeth on the RITA win! :)

  16. Thanks for the giveaway. Would love to win.

  17. Thanks so much for the post with the nominees. I've read several of the books and would love the others to read! Thanks for the giveaway too!

  18. Love all these authors & would love to be included in the giveaway! Blessings!
