I love it when one of my bestie friends come to the blog. Some of their answers surprise me. Danica doesn't know it, but one day I plan to visit her in Montana...and just move in. Okay, anyone who knows me that'll never happen because I'll never leave Texas. So we'll have a very cool visit.
Helena O’Driscoll and Graham Kelly’s
first few months together haven’t been easy. Helena, missing the traditional
Traveller lifestyle she gave up for Graham, can’t help but feel that their
cultural differences have doomed their relationship. And with preparations for
their brand-new hospital for Supernaturals filling their days, they feel out of
sync, and maybe even out of love.
When a man from the local equestrian center is murdered, Helena begins having visions of the future darker and more dangerous than ever before. With a killer in their midst, everyone at Adare Manor is at risk, and Helena and Graham must work together to catch the culprit even as their relationship unravels. And when the murderer claims another victim, this one even closer to Helena’s heart, the question becomes not whether their love will survive, but whether they will.

DANICA WINTERS is a
bestselling author who has won multiple awards for writing books that grip
readers with their ability to drive emotion through suspense and occasionally a
touch of magic. Most recently, Danica was the winner of the Paranormal Romance
Guild's Paranormal Romantic Suspense Book of the Year Award and Chanticleer
Media's Paranormal Book of the Year for her novel Montana Mustangs.
When she's not working, she can be found in the wilds of Montana testing her patience while she tries to understand the allure of various crafts (quilting, pottery, and painting are not her thing). She always believes the cup is neither half full nor half empty, but it better be filled with wine.
ANGI:
How often to you get lost in a story?
DANICA: Every day. When I’m not writing, I’m reading.
I just finished up Margaret Atwood and am now onto a book by Janie Crouch. J
ANGI:
Favorite date night…fancy or at home?
DANICA:
Oh, this
depends on my mood, but since I work at home when it’s a date night I want to
hit the town. I want a thick, juicy steak and a glass of red wine. Follow that
up with a nice little stroll around downtown and I’m a happy camper.
DANICA:
Fairy tale.
I have kids and therefore I live action adventure.
ANGI:
Daffy Duck or Donald Duck?
DANICA:
Hmmm….
Daffy. He cracks me up!
ANGI:
What’s your favorite thing about your book’s hero?
DANICA:
I love
Graham Kelly. As I move further and further into this series, I find that he is
progressively becoming this generations perfect man—he stands beside her and
helps her when she needs it, but never stands in her way. He is so supportive
and amazing, but at the same time he is alpha. When he wants something he takes
it, and he knows how to love.
ANGI:
What’s your favorite TV re-run (besides I LOVE LUCY) 😊?
DANICA:
How did you
know I love I LOVE LUCY??? I love The Middle. Again, I think it hits a
little close to home for me.
ANGI: Danica's favorite I LOVE LUCY episode has a lot to do with WALLPAPER while mine is Vitameatavegimin.
ANGI: Got a favorite song? What makes it special?
DANICA: Oh, another good question. I am an eclectic listener and I love nearly all genres of music. When I’m writing I love Emile Pandolfi, but when I’m hanging out and cooking dinner I’m a Fitz and the Tantrums fan right now. However, later this year I’m going to see George Strait in concert. I’m totally geeking.
DANICA: Hanging out with my family and friends, having a barbeque, and then wrapping it all up with a glass of wine and a soak in the tub.
ANGI: Salad or soup?
DANICA: Soup. There’s entirely too much lettuce in a salad.
ANGI: Champagne or Soda?
ANGI: Geek or Jock?
DANICA: GEEKS!
ANGI: Favorite inspiration
DANICA: Keep moving forward.
ANGI: The most daring thing you’ve ever done… Care to share?
DANICA: Oh, I’ve always been ridiculously brave—sometimes to a fault. I would say following my dreams of becoming a writer was really daring. I had to make so many sacrifices and give up so much time with the people I love, but every sacrifice has been well worth it.
ANGI’s GOTTA ASK: What’s your favorite pair of shoes & why?
DANICA’S GOTTA ANSWER: LOL These are my favorites (at least in fancy shoes, otherwise it would be my cowboy boots)! These Fendi’s are my splurge purchase (I still couponed), and are going to be making an appearance at the next big event.
