You Remember Angi Morgan?

DANGEROUS MEMORIES
THE MORE SHE REMEMBERS…
After witnessing her mother’s murder as a child, Jolene Atkins had forced the memories from her mind. Now the killer had resurfaced, but this time Jo had Levi Cooper to protect her. Even if he was disobeying direct orders from the U.S. Marshal service to do so….

THE MORE ONE U.S. MARSHAL HAS TO PROTECT HER...
Levi had vowed years ago to always keep the innocent beauty safe. So when Jo insisted on finally getting some answers, Levi had no choice but to help her. But watching as the pain of the past threatened to crush a spirited Jo, Levi ignored every professional instinct and pulled her into his arms. After one night together, Levi was more determined than ever to close this case. Because that one night would never be enough….

ANGI QUICK DATE FACTS:
hiking boots or high heels? Definitely Both
dinner out or dining in? Both again. We dine out a lot traveling, so dining in is special too
flowers or candy? Flowers…as long as the hubby can remember which are my favorite (and not his LOL)
date dressed in a suit or jeans? Give me non-saggy jeans and a pair of western boots
texting or a phone call? Please…I work alone and need my words

What or who inspired the hero for DANGEROUS MEMORIES?
ANGI: Joe Manganiello inspired the physical look of Levi Cooper. I was a huge fan of the television show In Plain Sight and admire the work the U.S. Marshals service performs risking their lives for the people under their protection.

What or who inspired the heroine for DANGEROUS MEMORIES?
ANGI: Jo formed all on her own. Like many writers of romance, you want as much conflict as possible between your hero and heroine. I thought it would be very frustrating for a Marshall to swear to protect someone he had no authority to protect. In other words, a witness who wasn't really a witness.

Is there a hero you’re just dying to write about for Intrigue?
ANGI: I have a secondary character in Protecting Their Child. oooo I can't tell you who (that's another spoiler). Let's just say that if I get to write his story…he'll appear in two other books first. "Dying to write" about him….

Where would your hero “pop the question” to your heroine (hopefully no story spoilers)?
ANGI: If Levi proposed, he'd pick a beautiful star-filled Texas night, right after a big open-sky sunset. Alone, no one else in sight. He'd fill the evening with perfect memories that Jo could keep for the rest of her life. He'd hide the ring in a … ooops, that would be a spoiler.

What’s the perfect Valentine’s Day date for your characters from DANGEROUS MEMORIES?
ANGI: Jo and Levi knew each other for several years, but they never got to know each other. So I think they'd spend the evening playing Truth and Dare before or after (maybe both) an evening of country-western dancing.

GOTTA ASK: If you had to choose a movie to describe DANGEROUS MEMORIES, which would it be?
ANGI’S GOTTA ANSWER: I'm not certain there is a film that represents DANGEROUS MEMORIES. Broken, repressed memories. An unknown villain trying to kill her. Direct orders not to help that are broken. If anyone thinks of a movie that combines all these things (don't forget the romance)…I'd love to know about it.

PROTECTING THE PREGNANT PRINCESS
A princess and her doppelganger are missing, and a grief-stricken king turns to Aaron Timmer for answers. As a bodyguard to the king, Aaron's mission is clear when one of the women is found: keep her out of danger and find the abductor. But how can he do that when the mystery woman doesn't remember the events leading up to her disappearance?

Terror strikes a young woman when she wakes up in a private hospital with no idea who she is, how she came to be hospitalized…and whose baby she's carrying. But there is something about the man sent to protect her that makes her feel safe. As they seek the truth together—and the secrets of her past finally begin to resurface—they must prepare for the dangers that await them…and a desire that may be all too familiar.

LISA QUICK DATE FACTS:
hiking boots or high heels? high heeled boots
dinner out or dining in? dining in – I love to cook
flowers or candy? why do I have to choose?  I love them both
date dressed in a suit or jeans? jeans – although suits are very sexy too!
texting or a phone call? phone call so I can hear his voice

What or who inspired the hero for PROTECTING THE PREGNANT PRINCESS?
LISA:  My characters seem to pop into my head fully formed.  I really don’t base them on anyone else – fictional or real.  Aaron Timmer is a protector – even if he wasn’t a bodyguard, he would be protecting people.  That’s just who he is.

What or who inspired the heroine for PROTECTING THE PREGNANT PRINCESS?
LISA:  Charlotte Green is one tough heroine.  She’s one of the strongest I’ve ever written – physically and emotionally.  She’s survived a lot, and like Aaron, she’s a protector.  She’ll do whatever necessary to protect those she cares about.  It’s very hard on her when she’s the one who needs protection.

Is there a hero you’re just dying to write about for Intrigue?
LISA: I love Aaron’s frenemy, Whitaker Howell, and I’m thrilled I was able to write his story as the second one in this Royal Bodyguards series.  He’s a cocky daredevil.  But the third hero in this series is my favorite – the son of an infamous mobster, he’s constantly at war with the good and evil inside himself.

Where would your hero “pop the question” to your heroine (hopefully no story spoilers)?
LISA:  Last summer my real life hero popped the question to me – on a Lake Michigan beach.  He got down on one knee and spoke from his heart.  I think some old women swooned.  I know I did!  (grin)

What’s the perfect Valentine’s Day date for your characters from PROTECTING THE PREGNANT PRINCESS?
LISA:  Aaron and Charlotte’s perfect Valentine’s Day would be taking down some bad guys to save some innocent people.  They’re protectors – it’s what they would love doing – that and making love after the bad guys were arrested.

GOTTA ASK: If you had to choose a movie to describe PROTECTING THE PREGNANT PRINCESS, which would it be?
LISA’S GOTTA ANSWER:  The movie that would probably be closest in theme would be THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT.  I loved Gina Davis in that movie – she kicked butt!

CASSIE QUICK DATE FACTS:

hiking boots or high heels? Hiking boots
dinner out or dining in? Dinner out -- Can’t cook
flowers or candy? Chocolate
date dressed in a suit or jeans? Jeans
texting or a real phone call? Phone

What or who inspired the hero for HOSTAGE MIDWIFE?
CASSIE: My fantasy version of the gorgeous Jon Hamm – a guy who is big, competent, cool and has a sense of humor.

What or who inspired the heroine for HOSTAGE MIDWIFE?
CASSIE: A woman who finds the strength to deal with her failed marriage, reclaim her past and truly start over.  As a bonus, she gets a rich, handsome, eligible bachelor.

Is there a hero you’re just dying to write about for Intrigue?
CASSIE:  Hard question because I’ve written about many Intrigue guys who I’d love to meet.  Maybe somebody with super-powers, like flying or turning invisible.

Where would your hero “pop the question” to your heroine (hopefully no story spoilers)?
CASSIE: Since he’s a class act, I’d expect him to take her to a private chateau in Aspen or a 5 star hotel.  The ring would be pure gold from his family’s mine.

What’s the perfect Valentine’s Day date for your characters from HOSTAGE MIDWIFE?
CASSIE: Rock climbing.  (These people are nothing like me.)

GOTTA ASK: If you had to choose a movie to describe HOSTAGE MIDWIFE, which would it be?
CASSIE’S GOTTA ANSWER:  There’s a lot of DIE HARD in the hostage situation.

ULTIMATE COWBOY
Bucking Bronc Lodge

Rancher Brody Bloodworth has spent years blaming himself for his brother's disappearance. If he hadn't snuck off to be with Julie Whitehead, everything would have been different—and he wouldn't have pushed her away. Now Julie is back, as an FBI agent with a solid lead on his brother. Although the past makes Brody reluctant to fall for Julie again, he admires her for being unable to keep her hands off the case. Before long he finds himself unable to keep his hands off her. As he prepares for a showdown with the ruthless kidnappers, Brody knows what's at stake if he wins. And just how much he'll lose if he doesn't….

RITA QUICK DATE FACTS:

hiking boots or high heels? hiking boots
dinner out or dining in?  out
flowers or candy? candy – Reese's peanut butter cups
date dressed in a suit or jeans? jeans
texting or a real phone call? real phone call

What or who inspired the hero for ULTIMATE COWBOY?
RITA: Brody is actually a composite of real life people – with all the news stories about children who disappear and are kidnapped, I wanted to write about the effect on the person/family members left behind. Brody is devastated and guilt-ridden over his brother’s disappearance but he is heroic because he takes those emotions and turns them into something good when he opens the BBL ranch for troubled kids. He’s strong and caring and never gives up looking for his brother.

What or who inspired the heroine for ULTIMATE COWBOY?
RITA: Julie Whitehead is also a composite character. She and Brody shared a young love affair but were torn apart when his brother was kidnapped. Like Brody, she felt guilty and gave up her plans for vet school to become an FBI agent and save others. I think her choices show the depth of her love for Brody, and also her strength in using those emotions to drive her to do good things.

Is there a hero you’re just dying to write about for Intrigue?
RITA: I’d love to write a Jason Bourne character. No matter how many times my husband and I have watched that trilogy, we’re glued to the set when it comes on!

Where would your hero “pop the question” to your heroine (hopefully no story spoilers)?
RITA: Probably in a mountain cabin on a snowy day.

What’s the perfect Valentine’s Day date for your characters from ULTIMATE COWBOY?
RITA: A ride across the ranch and a picnic by the creek. Both love the outdoors and horses!

GOTTA ASK: If you had to choose a movie to describe ULTIMATE COWBOY, which would it be?
RITA’S GOTTA ANSWER:   Honestly I can't think of a movie to describe it - trying to think of  a western but can't. Maybe True Grit meets the kidnapping case of Elizabeth Smart?

Meet Cynthia Eden

GUARDIAN RANGER

"Trust me."

The Last Chance bar was Veronica Lane's last hope. Desperate to find her missing brother, the sheltered computer programmer turned to Jasper Adams—the man she'd been warned to stay far away from. Veronica knew she was putting her life in the hands of the former Ranger, who aroused desire she had to resist at all costs.

Posing as a ruthless mercenary was a cover for what Jasper was really doing: hunting a killer. And Veronica was in the line of fire. The soldier-turned-elite-ops-agent knew he was playing a dangerous game—trying to win her trust while deceiving her about his true mission. What would happen once Veronica discovered that everything about him was a lie…everything except his passion for her?

CYNTHIA QUICK DATE FACTS:
hiking boots or high heels? hiking boots
dinner out or dining in? dinner out, I am such a lazy cook!
flowers or candy? flowers
date dressed in a suit or jeans? jeans
texting or a real phone call? texting

What or who inspired the hero for GUARDIAN RANGER?
CYNTHIA:  My hero in GUARDIAN RANGER is a fierce, protective alpha guy—he’s ex-military, and he’s used to facing danger.  For his inspiration, I’ll be honest—I went for one of my all-time favorite ex-military guys—Face from the A-Team.   Face is a good-looking guy, so good-looking that people often aren’t prepared for just how dangerous he can be.  That attractive surface can sure be deceptive.

What or who inspired the heroine for GUARDIAN RANGER?
CYNTHIA:   For my heroine, I wanted to create a character who was opposite (in many ways) from my hero. While his strength lies in the physical arena, my heroine is a computer genius—give her enough time, and she can usually figure out anything with her computers.  I like to pair up opposite characters so that their strengths (and weaknesses) can play off each other.

Is there a hero you’re just dying to write about for Intrigue?
CYNTHIA:   One of the secondary characters in this book, GUNNER ORTEZ, is a guy that I so wanted to write about—and then Intrigue gave me the chance to do just that! So I *was* dying to write about my sharpshooter, but now I’m all happy because his story is done. ;)

Where would your hero “pop the question” to your heroine (hopefully no story spoilers)?
CYNTHIA:   LOL, Jasper is an “in-the-moment” kind of guy. I think he’d propose as soon as he could, and the guy wouldn’t even notice/realize where they were.

What’s the perfect Valentine’s Day date for your characters from GUARDIAN RANGER?
CYNTHIA:   I think they would like a little peace and quiet (no gunfire or killers stalking them). An isolated cabin, roses…chocolate. Did I mention the no killers rule?

GOTTA ASK: If you had to choose a movie to describe GUARDIAN RANGER, which would it be?
CYNTHIA’S GOTTA ANSWER:  That is so tough!  It’s an action-adventure flick with the team working together (again, think A-Team), but it’s also a romance at its core—Bodyguard in the sense that the hero will put his life on the line in order to protect the heroine.
