THE BARE NAKED TRUTH

ANGI: How often to you get lost in a story?

CHRISTI: 95% of the time I open a book. I love to just give myself over to the story. It is extremely rare that I don’t finish a book. My bar is – if it can’t keep my interest on the treadmill, when I am desperate for a distraction – then I’m done with it. But mostly I commit, heart and soul to each book. No skimming. You’re in it TO get lost!

ANGI: Favorite Valentine’s date…fancy or at home?

CHRISTI: Fancy. Both my hubby and I love to dress up for each other and be a part of a buzzing restaurant. We make romantic dinners at home every Sunday where we dance while we cook. V-day deserves a night out!

ANGI: Would you put yourself in a Fairy Tale or Action Adventure?

CHRISTI: Fairy tale. There is a tiara hanging on my wall. Give me the fluffy princess dress and balls and Prince Charming – the whole enchilada.

ANGI: Daffy Duck or Donald Duck?

CHRISTI: Definitely Donald. Daffy is a tad TSTL for me…..

ANGI: What’s your favorite thing about your book’s hero?

CHRISTI: Logan has a way of not knowing how to be romantic, or say things that will sweep you off your feet (he compares the heroine to onion dip on a radio podcast at one point). And yet he still manages to be romantic in his own quirky way (she is rightfully pissed at first, but then he explains) “It means you’re irresistible.” Logan grabbed her fist, stroked it to flatness, and covered it with his own hand. “It means that even when my head tells me that I’ve had enough of you, that I should step away, I can’t. I need more. I crave more.”

ANGI: Salad or soup?

CHRISTI: Salad. Big, huge, 800 ingredient salad absolutely swimming in dressing.

ANGI: Champagne or Soda?

CHRISTI: Champagne, of course. I used to be a wedding planner, and it killed me to watch all those trays of champagne go by me all night long and not be able to sample one. LOVE IT.

ANGI: Geek or Jock?

CHRISTI: Geek. I got glasses at age 7 in the 3^rd grade, skipped a grade, was an annoying teacher’s pet – I checked off every box in the geek profile. Until I got to college. Then I turned into a Flirt (yes, that is an official classification).

ANGI: The most daring thing you’ve ever done… Care to share?

CHRISTI: In college, they planned to do a total rehab of our historic music hall. Told us they’d be knocking down everything to the studs. So the night before, we went in and spray painted our favorite choral sayings all over the walls and tp’d the entire hall. Turns out, they wanted to cram one more recital in before the demo the next day, and we almost got expelled and had to cover everything up. Most daring – and most stupid!

ANGI’s GOTTA ASK:  What’s one item from your bucket list?

CHRISTI’s GOTTA ANSWER:   Hitting the USA Today list. Hopefully I’ll get to cross that one off sooner rather than later!
