There's nothing normal about Zelda, a witch whose job is to control the forces of Magic and Mayhem, and use her power for healing. But some say she creates the mayhem part, and maybe they're somewhat right. After spending nine months in the witch pokey for using her powers irresponsibly, Zelda is out on magical parole. Ready to dump the orange jumpsuit, she sets off on her latest mission: avenge the death of her Aunt Hildy, maintain the magical balance, and take over as the Shifter Whisperer. 

This all turns out to be far easier said than done, though. While healing the idiotic and violence prone proves both painful and wildly rewarding, Zelda must also contend with the hotter than hot Werewolf King, Mac, who's convinced Zelda is his mate. As Zelda chases her happily ever after, she tries to help tons of wonderfully warped characters who need all the fixing they can get. Are you up for the bewitching challenge? Favorite Magical element of your story: In Reality Shift, my favorite magical moment is when Jill agrees to go out with her ex against her better judgement.  The chemistry between them is off the charts. Jill hopes for a commitment from the hunky vampire, I know all the readers will too.

Favorite Mayhem element of your story: The pack run becomes a hot mess and my favorite mayhem moment. When Jill forgets to take off her blouse and trips while shifting, a panther shifter runs after her and is chased up a tree by a pack of wolves.  Meanwhile, a vampire rushes in to try to save the panther, but ends up being bitten in the butt by a wolf and chased off.  Jill, the panther and the vampire end up having to explain what they were doing to the pack leaders.

Describe your story in five words: Rabbit, Vamp, Camera, Sex and Kidnapped

Favorite Magical element of your story: Love is, and has always been, the greatest source of magic.

Favorite Mayhem element of your story: Carol and Hildy go to fight demons, but end up fighting a third Baba Yaga witch who has gone over to the dark side.

Favorite Magical element of your story: I loved how my badass heroine, Evie, was a big sap when it came to her magical familiar, a cat named Clooney! Named after Nick, not George, surprisingly. 

Favorite Mayhem element of your story: Oh, so many! Probably when Evie meets some of the shifters and Fat Bastard. She's not quite sure what to make of them, but it was so fun to write that scene.

Describe your story in five words: Always love who you are!

Favorite Magical element of your story: My favorite magical element in Rogue Coven is when my main character Haze Kinsey tries to heat her cup of coffee with a little magic, and she ends up burning a hole through the granite topped center island, the floor of the house, and possibly right through the earth’s core. I’m almost certain there’s a few Chinese citizens with burnt toesies right now.

Favorite Mayhem element of your story: Clowns.

Describe your story in five words: Hocuspocus, high-jinks, BFF-banter,  schmatlzy-smooshing, and daring-action. (Some of my best magic was turning ten words into five).

Favorite Magical element of your story: All of it? I can't pick one magical element. It's all wild and I had such a great time writing this. *whispers* Okay, I lied. It's the insta-orgasm powers my demon has at the snap of his fingers after he gets his power back. 

Favorite Mayhem element of your story: This one was much easier. Shifter strippers. I mean, can you imagine a giant bear shaking his cakes on a pole?

Favorite Magical element of your story: I love mind-linking between the characters. I suppose because when hubby walks into the kitchen with muddy boots, I am hoping he can hear what I didn't say. 

Favorite Mayhem element of your story: Fat Bastard. I can just picture him strut his stuff.

Describe your story in five words: Sexy, funny, tricky, witchy--oh and did I say sexy?

THE Q&A

ANGI: Can you tell us about a real-life hero you’ve met?

LINDSAY: There is a group of Americans who are kind, generous and self-aware, who truly do care about their neighbor next door or across the street.  The volunteer firefighters who risk their lives for us.  We need more people like this.  I realize readers may want something more dramatic, but these are my everyday “unsung” heroes and heroines of our great country.  I meet these people every day and I’m grateful they are there for their community as well as in my life.

SUSAN: This is such a tough question, because I firmly believe many "average" people are heroes. Yes, I've met some amazing military men and women, but the police officers that keep us safe and run to our aid when we need it. The 911 operators who help countless people through awful situations over the phone. The firefighters who will get up at 2am because you fell and can't get up. The nurses in the hospitals, or even the random nurse who happens to be on a flight when someone has a heart attacks and comes to help. People who are sick, but keep going through their lives and living them to the fullest. There are so many amazing stories I've heard by so many people, I'd hate to pick just one.

CHRIS: After 9/11 I met the window cleaner who had saved the lives of all the people trapped in an elevator by using his squeegee to cut through sheet rock.  A humble man who explained it had taken more than one tool to accomplish the hard task and that the group had escaped the tower minutes before the collapse.

ANGI: What's your most favorite thing to do in your state?

LINDSAY: Hiking in the Grand Canyon, in the Red Rock country of Sedona, Arizona, which is 8 miles south of where I live. 

SUSAN: Texas can be HOT, so it makes it tough to do a lot of outdoor activities (especially in the summer!), but Fredericksburg, TX is one of my favorite spots. Hiking, camping, and just imagining the history that took place there is amazing.

CHRIS: Explore. Texas is huge so there are different climates, terrain, and traditions to be found. A day trip could land me by a hillside lake, life-size dinosaur park, or maybe a cattle round up. If there's an entire weekend to explore, Texas is overflowing with options: Fredericksburg and it's German culture, Big Bend State Park and it's grand canyons, or the white sand dunes of Monahans Sandhills State Park in west Texas. 

ANGI: What’s your favorite meal?

LINDSAY:

SUSAN: Pasta! I love almost any kind of noodle!

CHRIS: That's tough. I'd say it's a toss-up between lobster and homemade lasagna.

ANGI’S GOTTA ASK: What’s one thing from your bucket list?

LINDSAY’S GOTTA ANSWER: Returning a third time to Machu Picchu, the sacred Incan temple complex that sits in the jungle highlands of Peru.  I’ve set many a book there in the past and it’s one of my favorite haunts….filled with everyday magic, beauty and awe-inspiring photographic vistas.  I’ve already spent a total of six weeks down there in this South American country over the years.  Can’t get enough of it!

SUSAN’S GOTTA ANSWER: I'm knocking Antartica off my list this year, so the next thing I want to do is go dog sledding in Sweden, and then spending a night in the Ice Hotel up there.

CHRIS’S GOTTA ANSWER: LOL. Mine is so long. I will be crossing Whitehaven Beach in Australia off my list in March. The Greek Islands is next on the list though I wouldn't turn down a visit to the Great Wall of China.
