Girls Weekend Away

Girls Weekend Away, #1

When the cop…
Tough-as-nails detective Bonni Connolly is on a girls’ getaway in Vegas with her friends, when Lady Luck shines on her. Seizing the chance to treat them all, Bonni splurges on a little luxury including a VIP booth in an exclusive club. That’s when she sees him.

Meets the gambler…
Professional poker player Quinn Bryant is in town for one of the largest tournaments of the year. Fortune smiles on him when he spots Bonni across the dance floor. But what starts as a holiday fling soon turns into something more, as Bonni learns to see the man behind the poker face. The stakes have never been higher.

Even though Bonni’s trip has an end date and there is another tournament calling Quinn’s name, their strong connection surprises them both. And by the end of the weekend they start to wonder if what happens in Vegas doesn’t have to stay there…

 MEET ME IN SAN FRANCISCO
Girls Weekend Away, #2

The single mom…
When Celia Fox’s ex-husband serves her with custody papers during the same weekend he’s getting remarried, she expects things to go downhill from there. So when her best friends show up to whisk her away for a girls’ getaway to San Francisco, it’s just what the doctor ordered. Add in the chance to see Landon Bryant again, and she can’t wait for the weekend to begin.

And the playboy millionaire…
Landon and Celia shared stolen moments of passion in Vegas, and Landon hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her since. He knows she’s under pressure to hold her family together, but he’s determined to prove he’s there for her – and that she deserves some fun of her own.

Are about to get wild.
As Celia rediscovers who she used to be and her relationship with Landon deepens, she begins to believe he’s someone she can rely on. But Celia has been keeping a secret from everyone – if the truth comes out, will they play it safe or take a leap of faith?

THE NASHVILLE BET
Girls Weekend Away, #3

The romantic…
When her boss offers her free tickets to the CMA Fest, Ava Trent jumps at the chance for a weekend in Nashville with her best girlfriends. Great music and new opportunities to look for Mr. Right? What more could a former country girl ask for? Well, maybe not to literally fall at the feet of the hottest guy she’s ever seen.

And the superstar singer…
After becoming an overnight success, fame doesn’t rest easy on Chase Hudson’s shoulders. It’s hard to tell who’s interested in him and who’s interested in the star. So when he and Ava collide, and she has no idea who he is, he’s immediately intrigued. Something about Ava calls to him – even though he’s convinced she’s a city-type who couldn’t handle his Nashville life.

Are about to get their country on.
What starts as a light-hearted bet to test one another, becomes something much deeper as Ava and Chase can’t stay away from one another. But with so many differences between their lives, will they win the relationship they’ve been dreaming of? Or lose each other?

A MATCH MADE IN MONACO
Girls Weekend Away, #4

When the cynic…
Fredi doesn’t believe in love. She might be a successful bridal gown designer but that’s just business. Sure, she’s watched her three best girlfriends fall head over heels with the men of their dreams but she’s certain that’s not in the cards for her. That doesn’t mean that she’s not interested in some fun with a handsome movie star––one who just happens to be her assigned date for her best friend’s wedding in Monaco.

Meets the movie star…
Zayn’s used to women falling at his feet so he’s utterly captivated by Fredi’s quick wit and her refusal to be impressed by him. Their chemistry is off the charts and their connection is something unexpected.

Sparks are about to fly…
With only a few days before Fredi disappears back to her life, Zayn is determined to convince her that she can trust him with the one thing she swore to never give anyone–her heart.

THE VALENTINE INTERVIEW
ANGI: What’s your favorite Valentine gift or have you received it yet?
SHANAAnything my boys made when they were younger. I loved their creative minds and how they expressed their love to me on Valentine’s Day. One of the best was when they created a huge heart in the snow in front of our farm house. I do have a picture of it, but I can’t find it, likely packed away when I moved. But I do think I’ll have the best Valentines gift ever this year, my very first grandchild was born on Boxing Day. My granddaughter, Claire. It didn’t take long to fall in love with her.

ANGI: What’s your favorite Valentine flower?
SHANA: I love roses. I think roses are the traditional valentine flower. But I’d rather receive roses on another day, even a single rose give it to me the day before or the day after is fine. There are far too overpriced on Valentine’s Day.

ANGI: What’s your favorite Valentine/Love saying?
SHANA: of course the Traditional “be mine”

ANGI: Which Valentine film can you watch over and over without falling asleep?
SHANA:  I’m a bit non traditional here, One of my favourite holiday movies is The Holiday. Another one is The Family Stone. I know they’re both centred around Christmas, but I love the romance in them. And of course a favourite of favourites is Something’s Gotta Give.

ANGI: What’s your favorite Valentine candy you’d share with friends?
SHANA: I always buy cinnamon hearts for my boys.  It doesn’t matter that they’re 29 and 31 šŸ˜ I like good chocolate, And I’d happily share some yumminess with my friends.

ANGI: What is your favorite Valentine tradition?
SHANA: I don’t really have one. Honestly, Valentine’s Day has never been over the top for me. Maybe because I’ve never had a secret admirer, which I think would be rather cool. And men that have been in my life have never been overly romantic šŸ˜” so I think I need a hero!

MY PERFECT VALENTINE is…

SHANA:  To be whisked away somewhere For a romantic getaway.

SHANA is giving away an e-book copy of Working Girl and a Swag bag. If the winner is going to be at either conference I’ll be at, I will give a signed copy of Working Girl. Coastal Magic Convention or Booklovers Convention.

    1. Oh, exciting! I've always wanted a secret admirer that sent flowers. A friend of mine had one, and every Valentines Day she would receive a beautiful bouquet. That is very thought of your friend.
