ANGI:
What’s the first thing you do when you finish writing a book?
LINDA:
Start tackling all the things I’ve neglected—weeds
in the garden, dust bunnies under the couch, and cooking big batches of our
favorite foods to repopulate our freezer inventory of left-overs to pull out
the next time I’m on deadline.
ANGI:
Favorite date night…fancy or at home?
LINDA:
Definitely at home. Fan on in summer, fireplace in
winter. Pop in a DVD of a movie we love. Feet up on the couch.
ANGI:
Would you put yourself in a Fairy Tale or Action Adventure?
LINDA:
Despite the fact that I just described myself as a
couch potato, I’d choose an action adventure.
ANGI:
What’s your favorite cartoon character?
LINDA:
Roadrunner. Love how
he outfoxes Wiley E. Coyote.
ANGI:
High Heels or Hiking Boots?
LINDA:
Hiking boots. I don’t even own any high heels.
ANGI:
Got a favorite song? What makes it special?
LINDA:
Blue velvet. Bobby Vinton picked me out of an
audience to sing the song with him when I was a young teen. (This gives a good
indication of how OLD I am.)
ANGI:
Geek or Jock?
LINDA:
I love to swim, play tennis, kayak, walk. All for
fun. Have made some of my best friends playing tennis.
ANGI:
Your inspiration for the Brie Hunter Mysteries… Care to share?
LINDA:
Our vegan family doctor talked my husband and me
into trying a vegan diet. About the same time I took friends to visit a goat
dairy near us. I loved the goats and thought it would be funny to have a vegan
living with a carnivore and making cheese. But I have to admit our love for
cheese turned out to be too big a temptation to remain strictly vegan.
ANGI’s GOTTA ASK: Where is your favorite writing place & why?
LINDA’S GOTTA ANSWER: My office.
I can close the door to outside distractions. Nice large desktop screen. Phone
handy for research that can’t be done on the computer.
