READ A LITTLE, BUY THE BOOK

Award winning author VIRGINIA VAUGHAN lives by the motto 'It's not hoarding if its books'. Always the kid with her nose stuck in a book, becoming a multi-published author hasn't stopped Virginia from continuing to grow her own collection of favorite reads. Her family has refused to help her move anymore because of the sheer number boxes of books, but she's no quitter. She'll keep buying books and, the next time she moves, hire a moving van.

THE Q&A
ANGI: How often to you get lost in a story?
VIRGINIA: As often as I can! I’ve always been that girl with her nose stuck in a book.

ANGI: What’s your favorite thing about your book’s hero?
VIRGINIA: I love my hero, Noah. He’s fighting for justice for his missing and presumed dead sister.

ANGI: What’s your favorite movie of all time?
VIRGINIA: Nothing beats the original Star Wars movie.

ANGI: What’s your perfect day?
VIRGINIA: Curled up on the couch with a book and blanket. Ah, Heaven.

ANGI: Salad or soup?
VIRGINIA: I’ll skip both and go straight to the pasta. Yummy!

ANGI: Would you put yourself in a Fairy Tale or Action Adventure?
VIRGINIA: I would love to say Action Adventure, but clearly I’m a HEA kind of girl, so Fairy Tale.

ANGI: Favorite TV rerun you watch every time you channel surf?
VIRGINIA: My TV generally stays on HGTV

ANGI: Champagne or Soda?
VIRGINIA: Soda, although I refuse to call it that. Here in Mississippi, its just Coke…or, in my case, Diet Coke.

ANGI’s GOTTA ASK:  Where is your favorite writing place & why?
VIRGINIA’S GOTTA ANSWER: Fall is in the air and there’s no better place to write on a cool afternoon than the second-floor balcony of my apartment building.

THE BLURB
Aileen, Siobhan, Kassidy and Maeve–long ago they made a purity pledge to God and a friendship vow to one another. Now this quartet is about to embark on the journey of a lifetime...

All her life, Aileen Brewer has dreamed of singing on stage and winning the heart of Liam Douglas. When she sings, she exudes confidence and charm. Away from the spotlight, she's the shy, curvaceous woman who has always tried to maintain a sweet, Godly spirit despite her radical upbringing and a sense that she's not quite good enough.

During a music festival at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Aileen takes the stage with her three best friends, and Sisters in Spirit is born.

Liam, a Christian record producer, is captivated by the wallflower of his youth who has blossomed into a magnetic performer. He champions a record deal, and a quest for Aileen's heart begins, but can she find confidence enough to take command of the group...and accept Liam's love? Can Liam help her see the beauty of the woman she has become?

Dreams just might come true in ways only God could orchestrate...

AND NOW...
ALEXA: Marianne, we're so happy you could join us today. So, let's get busy. How often do you get lost in a story?
MARIANNE: As often as I can! I do most of my reading at night, in the hour or so before I nod off to sleep. Great books (and there are so many, aren’t there?) tend to keep me awake and turning those pages (scrolling those pages…I’m a Kindle girl when I read at night…)

ALEXA: Tea or Coffee? And how do you take it?
MARIANNE: Mmmmmm—coffee, French roast, black, with a bagel, please!  J

ALEXA: Is there a playlist you’d recommend for reading your latest release?
MARIANNE: Actually, you bet there is! Sisters in Spirit, we discover in the course of the series, produce and perform a song called ‘Nothing to Hide.’ Want to check out the music and video? Here’s the link on YouTube!! https://www.goodreads.com/videos/72368-sisters-in-spirit-nothing-to-hide

ALEXA: What is your biggest vice?
MARIANNE: Freshly popped popcorn, made on the stovetop, extra butter. ::DIVINE!::

ALEXA: What’s the first thing you do when you finish writing a book?
MARIANNE: B-R-E-A-T-H-E!!! In general, the process of writing a book sends me on a journey the likes of which I hope is mirrored by my readers. I take the rollercoaster ride right along with my characters. By the time I reach ‘The End’ they’re precious family to me, and I have to kind of sit back, go still, and just…breathe! After that, it’s on to the next batch of folks who are battling to claim my attention, which I love!

ALEXA: If you could interview one person (and it doesn’t have to be a writer) who would it be? MARIANNE: I would most love to sit down and talk to/interview Jesus Christ. No matter your belief, His impact, what He created here on Earth in thirty-three short years, with no internet, no social media, no means by which to ‘reach the world’ except for His personality, His message, and His disciples, would be incredible to absorb and explore!

ALEXA: If you were given a chance to travel to the past where would you go and specifically why?
MARIANNE: The Holy Land. No question. If time and money were of no object, I’d be there in a heartbeat. I would love to walk the streets and experience the history.

ALEXA: What’s the best birthday (or any holiday) present you ever received?
MARIANNE: The best birthday present I ever received was an engagement ring, on my 19th birthday, from my forever love to this day, Steve Evans. He delivered it to me during dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant; it was strapped within the paws of a big, cuddly teddy bear he brought into the restaurant in a plastic toy-store bag. ::LOVE!::

ALEXA: Describe an absolutely perfect day.
MARIANNE: A day uncommitted to anything but writing, and when I sit down to write, the scenes and words flow like water. That, to me, is better than any ‘high’ that can be imagined. Truly.

ALEXA: Anything else you want to share with us, Marianne?
MARIANNE: I will provide one autographed, print copy of the ENTIRE Sisters in Spirit series (4-book anthology) to one lucky commenter! If the commenter is outside North America, I’ll provide e-copies instead.
ALEXA: Wow, that sounds great! Thanks for stopping by today, Marianne! Folks, get commenting!
