One of the most surprising and delightful stops on our Southwest trip in September was the Saguaro National Park just outside Tuscon, Arizona.As many times as we've driven west, we've never taken the time to drive through Tuscon. So I've never seen a lot of the Saguaro cactus in one place. We have been to Joshua Tree--great, but not the same.
We arrived around midnight in the pitch black and awoke surrounded by giant cacti. These pictures are from sunrise. O.M.G. What a wondrous place.
