I have wanted to visit Riverside Park in the spring or summer since I first saw YOU'VE GOT MAIL. My daughter and I went in the dead of winter...in the freezing rain (no kidding). But oh oh oh what a difference a warmer month makes. I walked a great deal of the lower end. Had gourmet hot dogs at the Pier Cafe. And rented a Citi Bike to get to the 91st Street Flowers. Gorgeous Day. Lovely and uneventful. Lots of time to just look and enjoy.
I wanted to do something I'd never done on my last afternoon before returning home. So I took the subway to Columbus Circle, then walked over to the Hudson passing through Lincoln Center and catching a free concert.

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures thank you, especially the flowering gardens.
ReplyDeleteI loved them. Wish I'd had more time to get up close shots.
DeleteWonderful pics, Angi! The weather cooperated for snapping good photos...although it was probably hot when you were there ;) Love the gardens. Thanks for sharing!! My favorite thing to do is take the ferry over...it's always cooler on the water ;)
ReplyDeleteIt had been blistering the week before national...we had a blessed cool spell. Didn't break a sweat walking or riding the bike (well, except up hill).
